MA Certificate in Russian language and literature, Centre of Russian studies, Jawaharlal nehru University, New Delhi, 1983, with English, Political Science and French as optional subjects.
Ph.D. Degree in Russian literature, Moscow State University, Moscow, 1987.
TOPIC OF THE THESIS: Humanistic pathos and forms of its expression in the Soviet novelette of 1970s (V. Astafyev, V. Shukshin, C. Aitmatov ).
Professional Experience :
- Lecturer, Department of Slavonic Studies, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.
- Taught Russian language in University of Delhi from April1988 to Jan 1990.
- Taught Russian language and literature in the centre of Russian studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi from Jan 1990 to Oct 1991.
- Taught and guided research scholars in the University of Delhi from Oct 1991.

Making sketches of monuments and people Reading a lot, Meeting good, warm and affectionate souls, Theatre, Music--Indian and Western classical, Light Hindi and English songs--full of life and love. People and Arts.
Wishes :
To visit Egypt, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Sumer, Greece, Rome (again), China, Mohanjo-daro, Harappa, Bodh Gaya, Angkorwat and in fact each and every interesting corner of this globe and beyond. Dancing in Himalayas, Die without pain.

None.
Faith :
Life will win. Good will prevail. Human consciousness will ultimately head towards a perfect Cosmic Dance that I will watch. I suppose I am fated to hurry all my life. I wonder if I will find time to die. In beauty we are united, through beauty we pray, with beauty we conquer.
